FEATURED: The King Of France
KOF pulls a lot of stuff through their music. There's the stiff rythmic drive of early Talking Heads. There's the dramatic cabaret of Roxy Music. There's the structured madness of The Attracitions. There's the underlying sadness of, well, just about any music that's worth listening to. We would say there is a cloying off-kilter grandeur to their music if we wanted to be quoted in their bio. In short, KOF make incredibly orginal sounding pop-rock music. Steve Sallett formed KOF with Michael Azarrad on a post-Pixies reunion homeward bound flight. Keyboardist extrordinaire Tom Siler, legend has it, was spotted playing Harry Nilsson songs on harmonium at the Norwood Avenue subway station on the J line in Queens and roped into service. If you have not seen them live yet, we suggest you do so soon.
